Carin Steen is a painter / designer / writer from Amsterdam, Holland who lives in Copán Ruinas (Honduras) since 1997. She is the founder of the cultural association Arte Acción Copán Ruinas (formerly called Copán Pinta), and as its director she organized thousands of workshops in different artistic disciplines for children in and around Copán. The association closed its doors in December of 2010, one of the reasons being that Carin wanted to be more of an artist again, and less of a director.
